LSM(R)-194

: 4 May 1945 in 325 fathoms of water at 27º N., 127º-58'E.
One of four "Pallbearers" stationed on Radar Picket Station #1, Okinawa, along with LCS-21, LCS-23, LCS-31 and destroyers Ingraham (DD-694) and Morrison (DD-560). Attacked by kamikazes, LSM(R)-194 and Morrison were sunk; Ingraham was severely damaged and down by the bow; LCS-21 and LCS-31 were also badly damaged. Survivors were recovered by LCS-21.
