LSM-487 received no battle stars for WWII. Decommissioned 19 December 1946 at Green Cove Springs, Fla. Sold 21 November 1947 to Southwest Steel Corp., Pittsburgh, Penn. Ultimate disposition unknown (probably scrapped).
